About the Artist
CASE Maclaim, also known as Andreas von Chrzanowski, is a German urban artist and a founding member of the Ma’Claim Crew, a group closely associated with the rise of photorealistic graffiti. Painting with spray cans since the mid-1990s, he is especially known for technically precise figurative work and recurring images of hands. Those overlapping gestures often become visual metaphors for movement, connection, unity and human interaction.
His mural practice has taken him to cities around the world, where he combines large-scale realism with compositions that leave space for the viewer to complete the story.
