About the Artist
Floyd Mendoza is a self-taught artist from Pasadena, Texas, whose practice includes murals, portraiture, live painting, caricature, digital work and other mixed approaches. After years of pursuing art alongside industrial work, he shifted into a full-time creative career in 2021.
Mendoza’s public work often combines realistic figures with bold graphic elements, pattern and cultural references. His murals across the Houston area demonstrate a willingness to move between styles while keeping people, local identity and storytelling at the center of the composition.
